US S 1187 - Mortgage Forgiveness Tax Relief Act

NAR sent a letter to the full Senate urging Senators to cosponsor S. 1187, the "Mortgage Forgiveness Tax Relief Act," introduced by Senators Stabenow (D-MI) and Heller (R-NV).  The act would extend current law provisions allowing tax relief for homeowners when lenders forgive some portion of mortgage debt they owe.
