NAR Letter to Senator Rounds Identifying the Rules and Regulations that Impact the Real Estate Sector

NAR letter to Senator Rounds identifying the following rules and regulations as ones that impact the real estate sector, impose significant costs on economic development and require either deletion or significant reform so as not to impede the American dream of homeownership.

  1. The  “Waters of the United States” regulation should be withdrawn.
  2. FHA eases rules on financing for condos but more reforms are needed.
  3. CFPB Needs to clarify rules on real estate transactions.
  4. The EPA should follow the statutory process for moving forward with a proposal to regulate renovation, repair and painting activities in commercial buildings.
