House Committee on Financial Services
On October 16, NAR submitted a Statement For the Record (FTR) to the House Financial Services’ Subcommittee on National Security, International Development, and Monetary Policy and Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development and Insurance for the hearing entitled “Protecting America: The Reauthorization of the
Terrorism Risk Insurance Program”.
The statement urges finalization of a long-term TRIP reauthorization in a timely manner in order to avoid disruption to the current system, which has successfully kept terrorism insurance available and affordable since 2002.
